Meet Laura Michael
Laura Michael is an Armenian-American activist, educator, and writer who was born and raised in Rhode Island and now lives in the Los Angeles area with her husband and son. She received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Rhode Island and a master’s degree in education from New York University. Laura has taught at the elementary, secondary and post-secondary levels and is now the English language development program director for a local school district in the Los Angeles area. She also volunteers with the ANCA-WR to help schools implement genocide and human rights curriculums. Under the Light of the Moon is her first children's book. To learn more, visit lauramichael.net.
