Meet Mariachi Nuevo Amanecer de Luis Zambrano
Mariachi Nuevo Amanecer de Luis Zambrano formed in late 2011 when a group of classmates decided to get together to play for La Virgen de Guadalupe. Based out of Huntington Park, the ensemble has performed all over Southern California alongside artists such as Espinoza Paz, Fernando Allende, and Lupillo Rivera. In addition, the ensemble has appeared on major television networks such as Univision and Telemundo.
Aside from rehearsals and performances, each member is pursuing a degree in higher education across various disciplines such as cognitive sciences, biology, engineering, political science, music, business and administration, and economics. Members hope to use their platform to engage and raise awareness about issues within their community.
The ensemble has recently released their first studio album titled Soy Bilingue. The album will feature original compositions and covers heavily influenced by the Mexican- American culture.
